Was Willie Harris of the Nationals insulted as a child by Mr. Met? For the umpteenth time he beat them on a game-saving catch with the bases loaded and two out in the ninth. Harris entered the game in the 7th for an injured Ryan Zimmerman (hamstring) and moved out to left just in time to kill the New Yorkers. Again.

Was just looking at yesterdays box scores and standings……neither New York team is doing well this year, but at least they’re doing a little better than the Chicago teams *sigh* At least the Cubs managed to hang on for a win today.

I bet that his name is gonna sandbag some newbie sportscaster who doesn’t know that the name is broken up into two letter increments and will pronounce it in a way that violates some FCC rules…….probably has happened somewhere already 😉
Literally the first thing that came to my mind when I saw that catch was his similarly brilliant game saver of a sure homer off the bat of Carlos Delgado in ’07.
